Your AI assistant is only as useful as the context it can reach. Without a connection to your live product data, Claude does not know your roadmap, your OKRs, or your customer feedback.
Craft.io is an Anthropic-verified connector, listed directly inside Claude, so you can connect in a few clicks. There is no custom setup, no install commands, and nothing to configure on your own machine.
Before you begin
Access to the Craft.io MCP server is gated at the account level. If any of the requirements below are missing, reach out to your account admin or your Craft.io Customer Success Manager.
You will need:
Your Craft.io account on an Enterprise or Trial plan, with MCP enabled in Account Manager - your account admin can confirm both.
An editor seat in Craft.io or above - contributor users do not currently have access to the MCP server
A Claude paid plan that supports connectors: Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise.
💡 Note: Setup differs by Claude plan
On Pro or Max, you can add the Craft.io connector yourself.
On Team or Enterprise, an owner has to enable it for the organization first, and then each person connects with their own Craft.io account.
Enable MCP for your Craft.io account
MCP access is controlled by a single toggle at the account level. It only needs to be switched on once, and only an account admin can do it.
Follow these steps:
Open Account Manager, then select Account settings.
In the account settings tab, find MCP.
Switch the MCP toggle on. This lets external AI tools connect to your Craft.io spaces through the Model Context Protocol.
💡 Note: you must be an Account Admin to access the account manager settings. If you do not see it in your avatar, reach out to your Customer Success Manager.
Connect Craft.io to Claude
Because Craft.io is an official, Anthropic-verified connector, it is discoverable directly in Claude's connector list.
Follow these steps:
In Claude, open Settings, then select Connectors.
Search for Craft.io, then click Connect.
Sign in with your Craft.io account when prompted.
That's it, you're now connected. Return to Claude to start working with your live Craft.io data.
What you can do once connected
Once connected, Claude can work directly with the product context already in Craft.io - including your roadmap, objectives, product items, and customer feedback.
Claude can retrieve and analyze this information when you ask, helping you understand what’s happening across your product, synthesize insights, and turn those insights into action. It can also create and update content in Craft.io, based on your existing permissions.
For example, you can ask Claude to:
Understand: “What are the main priorities on our roadmap this quarter?”
Synthesize: “Summarize the top themes from customer feedback related to onboarding.”
Create: “Create a product item for the new onboarding flow based on this conversation.”
Update: “Update the status of these items and add a summary of what changed.”
You can continue working naturally in Claude while Craft.io provides the product context behind the conversation.
View and manage MCP access
Account owners and admins can review and manage who is connected via the MCP by navigating to Account Manager > MCP Users. From there they can change a user's permission level, narrow their scope to specific spaces, or block access entirely. Changes take effect on the user's next request. Access can be adjusted or restored at any time.
