Before you begin
You will need:
A Craft.io account
Your organization on an Enterprise plan with MCP enabled - your account admin can confirm this in the Account Manager
An editor seat - contributor users do not currently have access to the Craft.io MCP server
Set up Craft.io as a custom connector Claude to easily grant organization-wide access to the MCP server
Connecting to the Craft.io MCP server
When you connect an AI assistant to the Craft.io MCP server, you'll be prompted to sign in with your Craft.io account.
Follow these steps:
Follow the sign-in link your AI assistant shows you.
Log in to Craft.io
Review and accept the terms and privacy policy. Note - you only see this the first time.
You're connected. Return to your AI assistant to start using it.
Your access and permissions
When you sign in, Craft.io automatically grants read and write access across every workspace, portfolio, and feedback portal you already have access to.
If you need a narrower scope - access limited to one workspace, or read-only access - you'll be able to contact your Craft.io account admin to have it configured manually.
Common errors
Your account isn't on an Enterprise plan - MCP access requires an Enterprise plan. Contact your Craft.io account admin or your Customer Success representative to discuss upgrading.
You don't have a paid seat - Ask your Craft.io account admin to assign you a paid seat.
MCP is disabled for your organization - Your account admin has turned off MCP access in Account Manager. Ask them to enable it, or reach out to your Craft.io Customer Success representative.
