The Craft.io Guru Skills plugin makes this easier. It provides ready-made product management workflows developed by Craft.io’s product team, so you can work with your Craft.io data directly in Claude without having to build complex prompts from scratch.
Before you begin
To use Guru Skills, you’ll need:
Craft.io: An Enterprise or Trial account with MCP enabled and an Editor seat or higher.
Claude: A compatible paid plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise) and access to Claude Code terminal or the Claude app.
💡 Using Claude Team or Enterprise? Your organization’s Owner or Admin must enable the Craft.io connector before you can connect your account.

Each skill guides you through a structured process, helping you work with your existing Craft.io data, refine the results, and review proposed changes before anything is updated in Craft.io.
Available Guru Skills
PRD Generator: Turn an idea or epic into a structured PRD, covering the problem, personas, scope, and keFy trade-offs.
Break to Stories: Break down a PRD or epic into actionable, independently shippable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Feedback Analyzer: Identify recurring themes in customer feedback, connect them to revenue and urgency, and highlight the problems worth prioritizing.
Find Related Items: Discover existing work items that might overlap with, depend on, or provide useful context for what you’re working on.
Sprint Planning: Plan your next sprint with a clear goal, realistic capacity, defined commitments, and visibility into potential risks.

Install Guru Skills
Choose the installation method that matches how you use Claude.
Option 1: Install using Claude Code (terminal)
If you’re using Claude Code, you can install the complete Guru Skills plugin directly from your terminal.
Step 1: Open Claude Code
Open your terminal and launch Claude Code.
Step 2: Add the Craft.io plugin marketplace
Enter the following command inside Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add craft-io-app/craft-io-plugins
Step 3: Install the Guru Skills plugin
Run:
/plugin install craft-guru@craft-io-app
Step 4: Restart if prompted
Restart Claude Code if prompted to load the newly installed skills.
The plugin includes both the Guru Skills and the Craft.io MCP connector.
Option 2: Install using the Claude app
If you use Claude through its desktop or web interface, you can add Guru Skills manually.
Follow these steps:
Download the skill files from the Craft.io plugin repository
In Claude, open Settings → Skills.
Upload the skill files to add them to your account.
Connect your Craft.io account
Once you’ve installed Guru Skills, connect Claude to your Craft.io account so the skills can access your product data.
Option 1: Using the official Craft.io connector
Craft.io is an Anthropic-verified connector, available directly in Claude.
Open Claude and go to Settings → Connectors.
Search for Craft.io and click Connect.
Sign in with your Craft.io account and authorize the connection.

Option 2: Using Claude Code (terminal)
If you installed the Guru Skills plugin through Claude Code, the Craft.io MCP connector is already included.
Open Claude Code and enter
/mcp.Select the Craft.io connector.
Follow the prompts to sign in and authorize access to your Craft.io account.
💡 Note: : Both methods use your existing Craft.io permissions. Claude can only access data and perform actions your account is authorized to use.
Start using Guru Skills
Once Guru Skills are installed and your Craft.io account is connected, you’re ready to go.
Simply tell Claude what you’d like to accomplish. For example:
Create a PRD: “Create a PRD for this epic.”
Break down work: “Break this PRD into user stories.”
Analyze feedback: “Identify the most common themes in our customer feedback.”
Find related work: “Find existing items related to this feature.”
Plan a sprint: “Help me plan our next sprint.”
Prepare release notes: “Write release notes for this feature.”
Claude will guide you through the workflow, using your Craft.io data and asking for input when needed. You can review and approve any proposed changes before they’re applied to Craft.io.
