Make feedback category required on forms
Product managers often create specialized feedback forms for specific use cases of feedback intake - such as user interviews, beta feature feedback, or sessions with potential clients. Users frequently default to the simplest path, using the default form, skipping the effort of selecting the most appropriate category. This results in vague or miscategorized feedback.
To solve this, we’ve added a new setting under Feedback Portal → Categories that allows you to require users to choose a feedback category before submitting a form.
When enabled:
No default category is pre-selected
Users must actively choose a category to submit feedback
Submissions are more relevant, actionable, and easier to process
Remove description field from forms
In some scenarios, product managers want users to focus on specific questions or ratings rather than providing long, unstructured descriptions. Users can now remove the description field from your forms entirely - helping guide users toward more structured responses, and improve the overall consistency and quality of feedback submissions.
