What Feedback Guru AI does
Feedback Guru AI synthesizes content from across all feedback submissions to surface patterns and demand signals that would take hours to find manually. Ask it a question and it draws on your entire feedback set at once.
It works alongside the Guru Item AI which provides depth and summarization within individual work items (i.e epics, features, stories).
Before you start
The Feedback Guru AI icon appears in your Workspace, and is clickable once a Feedback Portal has been created and connected. If no portal exists yet, the icon will be greyed out.
Only a Workspace Owner can create a Feedback Portal. If you need one set up, speak to the relevant owner in your organization - or contact your Customer Success Manager if you need help getting started.
Enabling Feedback Guru AI
If your workspace already uses Guru AI for work items, the Feedback AI capabilities will be enabled automatically.
If not, follow these steps:
Go to Account Manager in the top right corner of the Workspace (click your avatar)
Select Account Settings
Enable Guru AI

Only users with the Account Admin role can enable this setting via the Account Manager.
How to use Feedback Guru AI
Click the Feedback Guru AI icon in your Workspace to open it. Once open, you have two ways to explore your feedback:
Ask an open-ended question
Type any question in natural language. Guru AI processes the full body of feedback in your portal, understands the context of your question, and returns a summary of patterns and themes.
Examples:
"What are the most common complaints about accessibility?"
"What features are enterprise customers asking for most?"
"Are there recurring issues related to the mobile experience?"
You can branch into related topics or adjust your question based on the initial results. There is no limit to what you can ask.
Use suggested prompts
If you are not sure where to start, Guru Suggestions offer structured starting points for common exploration patterns:
Trending Themes - identifies emerging patterns and potential risks in recent feedback
Explore by Topic - deep-dive into a specific feature area or product domain
Customer Insights - analyze feedback from a particular customer or account
Weekly Summary - a 7-day snapshot of feedback intake and the top themes from the past week
Guru Suggestions are a useful starting point before a planning session or stakeholder review.
What Feedback Guru AI works with
Guru AI processes all feedback submitted through your Feedback Portal - regardless of the channel it came through. Feedback submitted via portal forms, internal submissions, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Salesforce, or the Public API is all included in the analysis (integration availability depends on your plan).
The more feedback your portal has accumulated, and the more of it is connected to backlog items, the more precise the analysis becomes.
Bringing your own AI tools via MCP
For teams that use their own agentic AI workflows or external AI tools, Craft.io is introducing MCP (Model Context Protocol) support for Feedback. MCP allows your AI tools to connect directly to your Craft.io feedback data, so you can synthesize feedback with additional context from your own systems - call recordings, CRM data, support tickets, or any other source your team works with.
This means you will not be limited to analyzing feedback in isolation. Your AI tools of choice will be able to query and reason across everything at once, combining the structured demand signal inside Craft.io with the broader external context.
