There are several toolbars and menus alongside an item's viewing and editing area, allowing you to perform various actions, such as: applying values, assigning, sharing and more. The following article details the different toolbars and their functionalities.

Some functions are applicable in viewing mode and other in editing mode as follow:

Viewing Mode

When clicking on an item's name from anywhere within the workspace, a viewing panel will be opened (together with the item's properties panel). When in viewing mode, the upper and lower bars are visible, as well as the sub features list.

The upper bar displays the item location in the hierarchy of Product > Epic in a breadcrumb format. Clicking on the Epic will display all items assigned to that Epic. While clicking on the Product will display all Epics assigned to that Product.

The Lower Toolbar, allows you to:

  • Revert to earlier versions of the item before making changes to the description

  • Set item importance

  • Update the item's status

  • Assign the item to a Roadmap Release

  • Assign the item to a Sprint

  • Comment on an item

  • View the item's progress

  • Assign the item to a team or a user

In addition, the Attachments and Dependencies icons appear if were already applied, showing the following:

  • Number of files attached to the item

  • Number of item’s dependencies with other items

Below it you can find the Sub-Features list, which allows you to view and add new sub features. Read more on Sub-Features here.

Editing Mode

Click on the item's description and it will open it for editing:

At the top of the description area, a rich text formatting toolbar appears, which allows you to: change text format, add bullet or Numbered lists, insert a link URL, insert an image, and more.

On the right hand side of the description area, you'll find the 'Guru Templates' button, with a drop-down list of different templates that you can use.

If you're an admin, you can also create a new template and save it as new template that will become available throughout the workspace.

More item related actions are available via the item's 3-dots menu.
