Craft.io maintains a hierarchical structure where each work item requires a parent. Until now, parentless items synced from Jira were automatically placed under generic default parents - with no way to customize their names.

You can now define the default parent name for each synced project, ensuring parentless items land in the right place within your product hierarchy.

Access this feature via the project's 3-dot menu under "Rename Default Parents" and select for each project the desired default parent names from your existing work items.

Teams managing many Jira projects in Craft.io often rely on default connection names to navigate between them - names that rarely match how your team refers to those projects internally. With a large number of connections, this makes it harder to find and manage the right project quickly.

You can now rename each synced Jira project connection from the project's 3-dot menu. Select "Rename project," enter a name that makes sense for your team, and Craft.io will display it throughout your integration settings.
