Exporting Your Workspace

While we recommend viewing your Workspace online or sharing it with a real-time LiveShare link, you’ll sometimes find that you want to share an offline, printable copy, or use your Workspace data to perform ad hoc analysis. 

Craft.io offers a variety of options for exporting the content of your workspace, including exporting:

  • Strategic Insights to PDF 
  • Product > Sections and Feature list to PDF
  • Roadmap to PDF
  • Roadmap Releases to PDF
  • Features to CSV 
  • Assignment information to CSV 

To Export your workspace in Craft.io from any view, click Export from the 3 dots menu at the upper right;

Exporting Strategic Insights

You can export your Strategic Insights into a PDF file as well. While in Strategy > Strategy Insights, select Export from the 3 dots menu at the upper right.

You can choose to generate a new export file or download the last exported file. 

Exporting Product, Sections, and Features

You can export your data model - including Products, Sections, and Features - to a PDF file. While inside the Planning > Editor workspace, select Export from the 3 dots menu. 

Tip! You can choose to include filters when exporting. When doing so your export file will inherit your workspace filters and will only include filtered data. For more information about filters see here.

Exporting Your Roadmap View

You can export an image of your Roadmap view - including releases, objectives, key results, milestones, and lanes - to a PDF File. The Roadmap will be exported according to the year range and your viewing settings.

While in the Strategy > Roadmap workspace, select Export from the 3 dots menu at the upper right. 

Note: The process of creating a PDF can take up to five minutes. If you do not see the PDF after five minutes, check to ensure that your browser allows pop-ups from https://app.craft.io.

Exporting Roadmap Releases

You can export an image of your Roadmap releases in a side by side column view to a PDF File. From Strategy > Release Summary, select Export from the 3 dots menu at the upper right. The Roadmap releases will export according to the year range setting.

Note: The process of creating a PDF can take up to five minutes. If you do not see the PDF after five minutes, check to ensure that your browser allows pop-ups from https://app.craft.io.

Exporting Items

You can export your items (features, requirements, bugs, improvements and tasks) to a CSV file format. The file will include a list of items with their data and metadata, such as: importance, story points, date of creation, sprint, epic, etc. 

While in Planning >Manage Features or Story Mapping, select Export from the 3 dots menu at the upper right and choose to download the list of items. Your filtered data will be exported.

Exporting Assignment data

You can export your items to a CSV file format. The file will include a list of items with their workflow assignments data: assignee name, assignee team, workflow status, assigned by, hours estimation, hours spent, etc.

While in Planning > Prioritize or Story Mapping, select 'Export' from the 3 dots menu at the upper right and choose to download a list of assignments. Your filtered data will be exported.
