Extended Mapping Capabilities With Jira’s Advanced Roadmaps
We are excited to announce a significant enhancement to Craft.io's bi-directional integration with Jira. This update allows for even greater flexibility in mapping work items between Craft.io and Jira Advanced Roadmaps.
Craft.io’s workspace-level hierarchy, which consists of 3 levels, can now be mapped not only to Jira’s item types (such as Epics, Stories, etc.) but also up to two additional item types above the Epic level in Jira Advanced Roadmaps.
For example:
The highest Craft.io hierarchy (represented by the 3-dots icon) can be mapped to Advanced Roadmaps' Super Initiative.
The second Craft.io hierarchy (2-dots icon) can be mapped to Advanced Roadmaps' Initiative.
The third Craft.io hierarchy (1-dot icon) can be mapped to Jira's Epic.
This update enables a smoother, more detailed synchronization of work items between Craft.io and Jira, providing customers with better alignment and visibility across their entire portfolio and workspace.
To enable this mapping, simply go to the Integrations panel in Craft.io, select Type & Field Mapping from the 3-dots menu of the desired Jira integration. From there, you can map the highest hierarchy in Craft.io's workspace to the highest desired hierarchy in Jira Advanced Roadmaps.
