Large-scale organizations may use multiple workspaces to manage different areas of their business or production processes. In some cases, it may be necessary to move work items from one workspace to another if the scope or responsibility of the work changes. Alternatively, work items may be copied between workspaces to make use of shared resources.

Move or Copy items to a different workspace in Craft.io
In craft.io it is possible to move or copy certain types of work items:
Epics
Features
When you move an item to a different workspace, it will be removed from its origin workspace. However, when you copy an item to a different workspace, the origin item will remain in its origin workspace and a copy of the item will be created in the destination workspace. This can be useful if you want to use shared resources or if you need to transfer a work item to a different team or product within the organization.
How to move or copy an item to a different workspace
The functionality is open to users who have either Editor, Team Leader or Admin permission in a workspace.
In order to move or copy an item, hover over the item’s title and click the 3 dots menu.
Select ‘Move to Product/Epic’ (depending on the work item type) and at the bottom of the dialog panel you will find a CTA “Move to a different workspace”.
Once selecting to move/copy to a different workspace, you will be prompted to select the destination workspace. Please note - the list of available workspaces comprises of workspaces that you have either Editor, Team Leader or Admin permission in.
After selecting the destination workspace, choose the desired parent item- Product/Epic, depending on the work item type.
To complete the action, select whether you want to move or copy the work item. When deciding to move, the work item will migrate to the destination workspace entirely, while when deciding to copy, the work item will be cloned to the destination workspace.
Bulk move or copy items
Craft.io allows moving multiple items to a different workspace at once using the bulk operation. That is, as long as all the selected items are of the same item type (Epic or Features) and are meant to be moved/copied to the same workspace.
First, select the work items you desired to move. As the bulk operation pane will appear at the bottom of the screen, please click the 3 dots for more options.
In the bulk dialog, under the Hierarchy section, choose Product or Epic (depending on the selected items) and follow the steps mentioned above after selecting "Move to a different workspace".
Implications of moving or copying items
In Craft.io, when you move or copy an item, it will automatically bring along all of its child items to maintain the hierarchy and structure.
When moving/copying an item to another workspace, some of the data may not be transferred:
Item properties - due to the differences in custom fields and values between the two workspaces. For example: Custom field of T-shirt size may exist in origin workspace but not in the destination workspace.
Connected feedback - If an item has connected feedback, feedback items will be lost when moving or copying item to a different workspace.
Connection to development tool - Items that are connected to a development tool and moved to a different workspace will be unsynced. (does not apply to copied items which will remain connected in origin workspace)
If the destination workspace is integrated with the same development tool project, the moved item can be reconnected to its counterpart in the development tool when synced.
