Craft.io empowers workspace admins to define templates for each item type, so workspace members can select a template and start writing a requirement from a predefined template. These templates help to align the team around how to write a requirement for epics, features, etc. With our latest release, admins can now also define a default template per each item type, so when a new item is created, its description will be populated with the default template. This improvement will further help workspace admins to streamline spec writing across the team and will save time for the workspace members who write specs.

You can set the default template by clicking the "Edit" icon and turning on the default toggle, the default template will have a default icon indication. The default template will be relevant only for that particular item type.
