  • Date Alignment Automation Rules: A new automation rule automatically aligns item dates with their assigned Sprint or Quarter

Date Alignment Automation Rules

Continuing the evolution of our automation rules - following inheritance and aggregation rules - we’re introducing a new Date Alignment rule. This rule enables the automatic adjustment of an item’s start and end dates based on its assigned Sprint or Quarter. When an item is reassigned, its dates will automatically update to match the timeframe of the new Sprint or Quarter.

This automation reduces manual effort and ensures timeline consistency across your workspace. Note that the Date Alignment rule will work in parallel with the existing inheritance and aggregation rules, meaning that a single change may trigger multiple automation rules to be applied simultaneously.

To create a Date Alignment rule, go to the Automation Rules tab in your workspace settings, select Sprint or Quarter, and save the rule. Once configured, any changes to an item’s Sprint or Quarter will automatically adjust its dates accordingly.
