25/02/20 Release Notes

Sections as epics

Up until now, you’ve been able to push your Craft.io Features with full metadata into Jira as user-stories. From today, you’ll be able to do the same with Craft.io Sections, which now can also have metadata properties completed and be pushed into Jira as epics.

Besides a more seamless integration with Jira, this update allows you to truly make the most of the different views available in Craft.io’s Manage Features section. You can now easily sort, group, and filter Sections and Features (epics/user-stories) and manage your product life cycle more effectively.

Assign feedback to Sections

Now, in addition to assigning feedback from the Feedback Portal to Features in your Craft.io Workspace, you can do the same with Sections. Assigning feedback to a Section is valuable when your customer feedback is more general and difficult to assign to a specific Feature.

Add Sections to Table/Kanban views

To further make the most of Sections, you can now view a Section’s properties in the Table and Kanban views under Planning > Manage Features. This allows you to quickly see, compare and modify multiple Sections in one place.

Roadmap View

The Strategic Roadmap also has a new view - in addition to Objectives and Features, you can now view your roadmap on a Section level, giving you a bird’s eye view over  planned features to be released, without getting into the nitty-gritty details. This is useful when you need to communicate a high-level view of your roadmap to VPs and other execs.

Comment on Releases

Releases now have a comments section, where users can discuss the upcoming release, share their thoughts and tag peers. To comment, simply click on the Release, scroll down to the new Talk section, and add your comment.

Import from CSV file

You can now import Sections, Features, and Sub-Features from a CSV file. From the Integrations menu, simply go to Import from CSV, and upload your Sections, Features, and Sub-Features that are organized in a CSV format according to the provided template. This is super useful for first-timers who don’t want to start their work at Craft.io from scratch and prefer importing a set of existing Features.

Jump into Craft.io and try out the new features for yourself, and don't forget to give us your feedback and thoughts in the official Craft.io Feedback Portal.
