The Braindump is a plain text-editor that allows you to literally 'dump' your thoughts and ideas, without the hassle of writing in a certain structure, hierarchy or format. Once you dump your thoughts you can return at a later stage and convert the text to action-able items (Epic, User Story, Requirement, Task, Bug, improvement).
The Braindump is available through every screen and is personal for the user. There is no limit to the amount of information you enter.
The Braindump can be accessed by clicking the Braindump icon located in the bottom-right corner of every screen. 

Once you click the Braindump icon, the Braindump editor is displayed. 

Click the the text field and begin to 'dump' your thoughts. The following is an example of a load of text dumped with no logic or format.

The text can be formatted using the formatting toolbar above the first line of text. The toolbar allows changing the typography (Bold, Italic, Underline and Strikethrough), add bullet/numbered list, increase/decrease indent and insert a link.
You can now create items out of the text.

To convert text to Items

1. Select the text you want to convert to an item. 

Note: if you select one row of text, it will be added as the item title. If you select multiple rows of text, the first row will be added as the item title and the rest of the text as the description.

2. Click the Create as button beside the text.
3. Select the type of item to which you want to convert.

4. In the Item editor, you can now assign the item to Versions/Sprints/Personas/ Members. To learn more about assigning items, click here.
